Does it upload my photos?+

No. Both apps run entirely on your device. Nothing leaves it.

How do I know the dates are right?+

Each file is rated high, medium or low confidence in a spreadsheet report. Ambiguous ones are labeled, not guessed. On a real ten-year export: 92% high, none low. (Desktop app only for now.)

Is Snapchat deleting my Memories? Do I have to pay?+

No, and no. Snapchat's help page: “Snapchat will not automatically delete your Memories because you do not upgrade.” From January 2027 it archives Memories over a year old outside your oldest 5 GB: still stored, shown as a thumbnail, paywalled to open. Snapchat's own alternative to paying is “downloading your Memories to access them outside the app.” Unsnap restores that download. Snapchat's help page ↗
